日光東照宮の造営にかり集められた
職人集団の表現技術とエネルギーが、
唐様の建築を装飾として食い尽くし
同時に樹木、雲、そして花などの
アニミズムの精霊が
建築を情報のヴェールで
覆い尽くそうとしている。
 
贅を尽くしたこの建物は
「存在」を確かめ得るように、
これこそ純粋芸術としての建築と
空間表現に関する主張なのでしょう。
